Gold Medal – China Wine & Spirits Awards 2019
The wine that started it all for Hunter's internationally. 1982 was the first vintage of Sauvignon Blanc for Hunters and in 1986 they turned heads in the UK with the 1985 vintage. 30+ years on and they're still winning plenty of fans and awards both here and around the world.
Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"2019 marks Hunter’s 37th year producing Sauvignon Blanc. Whilst the wine style has evolved steadily over time, we have endeavoured to stay true to our original quality focus. The resulting wine shows ripe passionfruit, lime and grapefruit notes. The palate is rich and full with a dense fruit core. In keeping with our house style, the wine finishes long and dry."

5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, April 2019 (2018 Vintage)
"A fabulous sauvignon; the intensely aromatic bouquet shows passionfruit, feijoa, kaffir lime and subtle musky characters, leading to a concentrated palate that is punchy and flavoursome. The wine offers terrific fruit purity and vibrancy, backed by bright acidity, finishing long and delicious. At its best: now 2021."
