98/100 Decanter 2017 (2014 Vintage)
"Rich, quite oaky Chardonnay with lemon curd, mineral, nut and brioche flavours. Elegant and focused with a lengthy finish. An outstanding glass with considerable personality."

5 Stars & Top 10 Cuisine Chardonnay Tasting, August 2016 (2014 Vintage)
"This is the product of another vineyard (the Clayvin) where chardonnay excels. Its nose had Jane Boyle wanting to “smell it all day long”. In the mouth it’s the full orchestra; flintiness, smoky bacon, hazelnut, almond shortcake all playing their parts. A wine with depth, presence and textural intrigue."

5 Stars Michael Cooper (2014 Vintage)
"From Giesen, this wine is grown in the famous Clayvin Vineyard, in the Brancott Valley, and fermented and matured in 1000-litre German oak casks (fuders), which 'develop greater complexity and refinement, but the oak doesn't dominate'. The tight, youthful, age-worthy 2014 vintage is bright, light lemon/green, with a fragrant, complex, slightly smoky bouquet. Mouthfilling, it is elegant, with concentrated grapefruit and peach flavours, integrated oak, fine acidity, and a powerful, lasting finish."

5 Stars & 96/100 Gourmet Traveller, March 2017 (2014 Vintage)
"Made from grapes grown on a mature, hillside vineyard with a proven record of excellence. Big, rich chardonnay with plenty of power. Mineral/oyster shell, grapefruit, white peach, toasted nut and brioche with floral hints. Complex with a lengthy finish."

5 Stars & 96/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, August 2017 (2014 Vintage)
"Gorgeous impact on the nose, displaying nectarine, lemon peel, oatmeal, vanilla and toasted almond characters with a delightful savoury complexity. The palate delivers superb weight and roundness with creamy texture and expansive mouthfeel. Beautifully layered and impressively structured. At its best: now to 2021."

Sue Courtney, (2014 Vintage)
"This is a big, gold, bold smelling wine with caramel-coated yeasty funk filling the bouquet and while it seems acid driven in the palate with is abundant grapefruit and citrus flavours the deep, rich sweetly smoked meaty savoury undercurrent makes it mouthfilling and complex. Hints of stonefruit emerge and while there is a flinty, earthy, dry gravelly note to the lingering finish the overall impression is creamy and long."

94/100 Jamie Goode, January 2018 (2014 Vintage)
"Fresh and expressive with lively citrus fruit. Linear and quite pure with keen acidity. Quite tightwound and more Chablis-like in style. Very stylish and with lots of potential, but needs time to show its best. Such precision and purity."

Yvonne Lorkin, July 2018 (2014 Vintage)
"If there’s such a thing as a taste orgasm then this incredible wine delivers them relentlessly. In multiples. Sipping it rendered me incapable of commanding the English language save for mumbling the occasional “oh wow” and “more please”. Sourced from Clayvin, one of the nation’s most famous vineyards, it bursts with grapefruit, ripe nectarine and beautiful butterscotch and cinnamon-dusted crumpet characters. Hints of struck match, roast cashew and caramelized spice on the finish make this something every chardonnay fan should try before they die."
