Winery notes (2017 Vintage)
"The nose is an intense and complete harmony of white peach, hazelnut and freshly baked bread. The palate is initially opulent and mouth-filling but rapidly brought into fine focus with a spine of citrus and a hint of flint. It’s exactly what we have come to expect from Bannockburn Chardonnay: subtle, powerful yet intricate, with characteristic bright acidity giving a juicy finish and considerable length. Precision and honesty contribute to this distinctive and fine Chardonnay."

5 Stars Michael Cooper (2017 Vintage)
"Forging ahead in quality, this classy, distinctive wine is grown at Bannockburn and matured in French oak barriques, with very limited use of new oak. Bright, light lemon/green, the 2017 vintage was estate-grown in The Elms and Cornish Point vineyards, and barrel-aged for 14 months (5 per cent new). Fully a match for more northern Chardonnays, and superior to most, it is bright, light lemon/green, full-bodied and elegant, with vibrant, citrusy, mealy flavours, intense, tight and dry. Not at all brash, but quietly compelling, it's a seamless, youthful wine; best drinking 2020+."

92/100 Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, June 2018 (2017 Vintage)
"Pineapple and cream, perfumed top note almost like fennel and violet, a little spice. Intense, fruity and savoury at once, almost into butter and popcorn, but acidity is a firm pulse, chalky pine-lime aftertaste. No shortage of character."

Sue Courtney,, July 2018 (2017 Vintage)
"The bouquet has an understated chablis-like nutty, creamy, malo elegance with the most subtle nuance of caramel and the most delicate toasty savouriness. In the mouth this is a wine of body and texture with tingly acidity punching though the creamy flow with neutral oak, a flinty / earthy undertone, fruit reminiscent of loquat, melon and just ripe apricot and softness to the long graceful finish."
