Winery notes (2021 Vintage)
"2021 Rosé is made from Syrah and Viognier grapes grown in our Te Awanga vineyard. Hand picked grapes and whole bunch pressed, focusing on freshness, flavour and colour, this wine is well balanced with a purity of fruit and lovely fresh acidity. "

"Everything you need in a Rose is in this wine – fragrance and a core of light red berry fruits, freshness and a floral lift, aromas of strawberry and red plum, moments of tropical red papaya and fruit tea. On the palate – crisp, refreshing with some palate tension, a core of fruit and flavours that reflect the bouquet, some fruit spice and floral moments and a satin texture. Balanced, even and ready to drink from 2021 through end of summer 2023."
5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, December 2021 (2021 Vintage)
"Brightly fruited and delicately fragrant with red apple, strawberry, apricot and floral aromas, it’s elegantly weighted and beautifully flowing in the mouth offering excellent fruit purity and vibrancy. Crisp-dry and highly appealing. At its best: now to 2023."
4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2021 Vintage)
"The attractive, vibrantly fruity 2021 vintage is a blend of Syrah (predominantly) and Viognier, estate-grown in the Gimblett Gravels and at Te Awanga. Bright pink, it is fragrant and full-bodied, with very good vigour and depth of berryish, slightly spicy flavours, dry and lingering."
