Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
"This wine differentiates itself by showing ripe and generous flavours of Barossa Shiraz while giving the wine lover only a lick of tannin. Vibrant ruby red with crimson and magenta hues. A compote of dark berries and Satsuma plums supported with spicy liquorice, mocha, vanilla and black pepper accents. Then hints of boysenberry and strawberry all converge and take your senses on a journey."
5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, September 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"Attractively ripe and fragrant, the bouquet shows Black Doris plum, sweet cherry, rich floral, almond and warm spice aromas. The palate displays succulent fruit intensity, combined with supple texture and balanced tannins, offering excellent drinking. At its best: now to 2030."
92/100 Ken Gargett, WinePilot.com, August 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"Sourced from a range of growers throughout the Barossa, the wine spent ten months maturing in a mix of French, American and Hungarian oak. Crimson/purple, there are aromas of roast meats, dark fruits, warm earth, florals, raspberries and plums. Good length here with impressive intensity and sleek tannins so would be perfect for a steak or a good barbecue. Good value to enjoy over the next six to eight years."
91/100 Ray Jordan, WinePilot.com, July 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"A medium bodied Barossa Shiraz loaded with spicy dark plum and a generous blackberry and dark chocolate combo. The balance and poise is impeccable with fine chalky tannins and a gentle touch of oak in support. A light sprinkle of pepper adds the final touch to carry through to the finish."
Tony Peters, wordsfromawineglass.com, August 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"If easy drinking, fruit forward Shiraz with low tannin impact is your thing, get your mitts onto a bottle of this. Lead by dark plums and blackberries the medium bodied palate easily satisfies as some dark chocolate notes, a touch of oak and a hint of spice/pepper add to a reasonably good length. This Shiraz will do well amongst others at the same price point."
90/100 Cameron Douglas MS, October 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"There’s no mistaking the variety and fruit core of this wine with a dark cherry and blackcurrant bouquet, violets and white pepper, chocolate and barrel spices. Firm and dry on the palate with core berry fruit and currant flavours reflecting the bouquet, medium tannins and a backbone of acidity frame the palate nicely. Well made, dry and ready to drink from 2024 through 2030+."
