"For its 35th vintage, Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc reaffirms its outstanding quality. Cloudy Bay has built a reputation for refined, elegant Sauvignon Blanc and the 2019 vintage is no exception.
Fermentation was carried out primarily in stainless steel tanks, with approximately 7% of the blend fermented at warmer temperatures in old French oak barriques and large format vats. As usual, our Sauvignon Blanc was blended stringently to include only the best portions."

"New Zealand's most internationally acclaimed wine is sought after from Sydney to New York and London. Its irresistibly aromatic and zesty style and intense flavours stem from 'the fruit characters that are in the grapes when they arrive at the winery'. It is sourced from company-owned and several long-term contract growers' vineyards in the Rapaura, Fairhall, Renwick and Brancott districts of the Wairau Valley, Marlborough. The juice is mostly cool-fermented with cultured and indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and aged on its yeast lees, and a small percentage of the blend (5 per cent in 2019) is fermented at warmer temperatures in old French barriques and large-format vats. Bright, light lemon/green, the 2019 vintage is ripely scented, weighty and intensely varietal, with rich, ripe tropical-fruit flavours to the fore, a herbaceous undercurrent, a very subtle seasoning of oak adding complexity, and a crisp, dry (2.2 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Best drinking mid-2020+."
