Winery notes (2017 Vintage)
"Immediately appealing and expressive, the 2017 Chardonnay reveals layers of attractive ripe orchard fruits and ripe peach on the nose, frame by subtle spice and gentle notes of roasted hazelnut. The palate shows a vibrant freshness, perfectly balancing the rounded nectarine and greengage fruit core. Intense and concentrated, with a long finish of juicy stone fruit and citrus florals."
5 Stars Michael Cooper (2017 Vintage)
"A powerful Marlborough wine with impressively concentrated, savoury, lemony, mealy flavours and a proven ability to mature well over the long haul. The grapes are sourced from numerous company-owned and growers' vineyards at Brancott, Fairhall, Benmorven and in the Central Wairau Valley. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barriques (15 per cent new in 2017), lees-aged in barrels, and most goes through a softening malolactic fermentation. The 2017 vintage is typically refined. Bright, light lemon/green, it is fragrant and tightly structured, with good acid spine, citrusy, peachy flavours, a subtle seasoning of oak, and excellent delicacy and depth."

"Fabulous energy and power with intense grapefruit flavour. I love the acidity, especially the way it lengthens the wine. Moreish and delicious 15 APR 2019
