With Gold Medals spanning the globe, this very well priced Bordeaux red will impress. One of only four gold medal winners in the 'International and Other Reds' category at last months NZIWS. "100% Merlot from Bergerac region of France. This wine spends 8 month in barrel contributing to its deep ruby colour and full bodied structure. The ripe plum and blackcurrant aromas are tethered with hints of licorice and savoury oak nuances."

"A dark red hue with a slightly gamey barnyard scent that immediately transports me to the northern hemisphere. The tannins are powerful and the flavours are meaty, savoury and slightly gamey with touches of pepper, pizza herbs and dark berry fruits. Made from 100% Merlot, this is medium bodied in palate weight but desperately needs food to cut through the tannins."
