The estate has been in the Portet family for four generations, headquartered in the commune of Soussans, just north of Margaux proper. The family farms its 37 hectares of vines according to the méthode Cousinié, a vineyard management protocol named for the agronomist who developed it, focused on soil balance and nutrition. Fermentation in a mix of cement and stainless steel tanks. Aging for 10-12 months in French oak barrels of which 35% are new.

"Under the same ownership as neighbouring Château Tayac, this property has produced a rich, spicy wine full of toasty wood flavours. At this young stage, the wood dominates, but this wine is going places with its ripe black-currant fruits and good acidity. Drink from 2023."
