Winery notes (2015 Vintage)
"The Carrick Bannockburn Pinot Noir is known for its structure and its ability to age well over a long period of time. With the 2015 Vintage we are seeing an immediate abundance of fragrance in the glass underpinned by a silkiness in the tannin structure that integrates nicely with nice oak spice. This vintage is in the same realms as 2011, another complex vintage with great potential for cellaring."

94/100 Mike Bennie, The Wine Front, April 2018 (2015 Vintage)
"Carrick have always been a very good producer, but in recent years seem to have elevated to a very, very good producer. Fine tuning in cellar, more concerted effort in vineyard and looking at single sites. Lots to like. Top 10 list for Central Otago, for me, easy.

Spicy bouquet showing clove/cinnamon over dark cherry compote, scents of pepper and fennel, sniff of floral things. It’s quite lush in the palate, deep and dark, brooding even, but there’s chew to tannins and a refreshing course of amaro-like acidity helping out. Lots of structure here and pitch-perfect heft and freshness. This is good, good wine."

4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2015 Vintage)
"A regional classic. The 2015 vintage was matured for a year in French oak barrels (20 per cent new). A finely textured, savoury red, it is full-bodied, with fresh, ripe cherry, plum, spice, dried herb and nut flavours, revealing good complexity, and obvious cellaring potential; open 2019+. Certified organic."

4 Stars Cuisine Pinot Noir Tasting, April 2018 (2015 Vintage)
"This 2015 expression has settled into its work beautifully. The introduction is low key, but it builds quietly yet impressively as it crosses the palate. Dark fruit laced with vanillin oak notes are framed by flowing tannins. “Wonderful fruit density with a serious undercarriage,” noted John Belsham."
