Winery notes (2018 Vintage)
"The Billet Doux is a preservative free wine made with fruit from the Cairnmuir Vineyard. 100% Pinot Noir from own rooted vines, planted 1998. Biodynamic principles, practiced from 2011. Each year a small parcel of Pinot Noir is identified as appropriate for producing this wine. Made in tiny quantities, it is hand bottled with a cork closure. Aged for 11 months in French oak. Zero additions. Bottled March 2019, no added Sulphur."

95/100 Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, June 2018
"Delightful. Smells like Foillard with its peaty/earthy notes, ozone. Ripe cherry, some flowers, spice and the like. Fleshy, yet fresh, with a little slurry of ripe tannin, a slight edginess, raspberry and cherry, rolling silty finish of freshness and length. Expressive."
