This Barbera from Italy's Piedmont is beautifully lush and bright. Quality fruit is lovingly hand harvested by the Vacca family, who have been on these legendary hillsides for more than a century and whose pioneering forefather was first to label Nebbiolo under the now-famous village name 'Barbaresco'. But this Barbera is a more drink-young affair, and despite fine tannins and age-worthy acidity this expressive red is ready to enjoy now with food. Superb value.
