"From our lil’ block we farm organically in Waipara. Carbonic and infused. A light daily pump over with as little extraction as possible but still insuring freshness and vibrancy on the palate. 2 weeks post ferment maceration to soften and lengthen the tannin. 6 weeks total on skins. Basket Pressed and aged in barrel. Bottled March 2021.
Blackberry. Tamarillo. Violet. Aniseed. Fennel Flowers. Long tannins."

"Complex and youthful, very floral and alluring scents of wild violets and black currant, dried raspberry and a savoury mineral quality that suggests place and time. Lush and salivating on the palate with a core juicy quality suggesting flavours of currant and berries, wild flowers and a fine whole-bunch and savoury dried herb quality. Tannins are in abundance and with the acidity layers in both texture and foundation for the fruit. A lengthy youthful finish. Best drinking from 2022 through 2029."
