A classic Beaune from one of the area's most highly regarded sites. Teurons borders the famous vineyards of Greves and Sur Les Greves, where the southeast-facing slope of free-draining, limestone soils produce small berries and bright flavour with plenty of positive acid and tannin structure. This Teurons has the charm, complexity and age-worthy foundation of some Grand Cru wines…at a fraction of the price.
90-92/100 William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2018 Vintage)
"(The 2018 Beaune 1er Cru Les Teurons exhibits aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, licorice and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered palate that's deep and concentrated, amply endowed with ripe, fleshy fruit but nicely balanced, too. This is a sunny, warm site that's planted with old vines, and it has turned in a fine cuvée this year. — Bouchard's Frédéric Weber was demonstrably satisfied with his 2018 portfolio, and he has every reason to be. Ripe but controlled, this is a very consistent range of fleshy but structured reds—which readers might think of as a more rounded version of the 2005 vintage."
