One of our biggest selling Chardonnays at this price point is the Bogle Chardonnay from California. It seems to be filling a gap for lovers of big, bold, buttery, spicy Chardonnay and there are quite a few of you out there! The combination of the Californian sun ripened grapes, plenty of American oak and creamy malolactic give this wine a distinctive style.
Bogle Winery is a family owned and run winery, which was established in 1968 by father and son team, Warren and Chris Bogle.

With welcoming aromatics, bright and juicy apple and pear flavours, a soft and creamy texture and toasty, spicy tones of American oak, a glass of this has a little something for everyone. Handcrafted and award-winning, this bottle will delight wine drinkers with its lovely, approachable style.
The 2021 growing season has graced this Chardonnay with some added complexity. The green apple and pear aromatics from Clarksburg Chardonnay are complemented by notes of tangerine and stone fruit, while honeysuckle and vanilla heighten the first impression. The rich and creamy entry rolls into a viscous and silky mouthfeel, surrounded by Asian pears and Honeycrisp apples. The finish lingers long and soft, like the wafting aromas of grandma’s warm apple pie."

"Bright, medium yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is gently full, with flint, vanilla, allspice, roasted almond, pineapple and stonefruit aromas. Full-bodied, ripe stonefruit and pineapple aromas melded with toffee, vanilla, roasted almond, and allspice. The mouthfeel is full and creamy, and the sweetness filling out the palate contributes to the weight and roundness. Balanced acidity carries subtle spice to a toasty finish. This well-rounded Chardonnay with ripe fruit, spice and toasty elements flows on a smooth, creamy voluminous mouthfeel."
