Winery notes (2017 Vintage)
"Septima Obra is crafted to be the Reserve wine of Bodega Septima, a 100% Malbec wine produced with grapes from different regional vineyard oasis in Mendoza. Part of the grapes are obtained from the district of Lujan de Cuyo, at 3,444 feet above sea level, which add the mineral notes, while another component is obtained from Valle de Uco, at 4,593 feet above sea level, where there is a wide range of temperatures between day and night. This favours the formation of polyphenols, as well as minty aromas. These grapes finally result in a wine with great complexity and elegance. The alluvial silt loam soil is very deep, with a low organic matter content and excellent permeability.
Plum, blackberry and cherry aromas mingled with minty and violet notes along with subtle hints of vanilla and spice, making this a complex wine, a classic varietal characteristic. Smooth entry with a fresh mouthfeel along with silky and round tannins which give a pleasing result. Prominent red berries notes with a perfectly integrated oakiness provide the wine a quite unique ending."
