Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"A lively and fragrant Sauvignon Blanc with a captivating line of citrus and gooseberry. It delivers excellent weight and concentration, elegantly balanced with a dash of juicy acidity. It’s our Moutere clay soils, the dazzling Nelson sun and the finger prints of our fabulous team that make our wines unique."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, November 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"Pungent, enticing, varietal and very slick bouquet. Aromas and flavours of white fleshed stone fruits, apple and pear, pure fresh gooseberry and tropical highlights, there’s a notable seam of sage, basil and fresh green herbs along with a stone and mineral complexity. Acidity is bright, saline and abundant, the core of fruit flavours and natural palate salivation manage this easily. Well made, very youthful and quite delicious, Best drinking from 2024 through 2030."
4 Stars Michael Cooper, October 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"Estate-grown at Tasman, the zesty 2023 vintage was hand-harvested and fermented in tanks (principally) and old oak barrels (3 per cent). Bright, light lemon/green, it is mouthfilling and strongly varietal, with vibrant passionfruit, lime and green capsicum flavours, showing good intensity and vigour, and a crisp, dry (3.5 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish."
90/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review (2023 Vintage)
"Vibrant, high energy sauvignon with gooseberry, green capsicum, lime zest and lemon blossom flavours. Assertive acidity helps drive a lengthy drying finish. Great with freshly shucked oysters."
