Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"Our Gewürztraminer 2023 is pure and focused with intriguing notes of rose petal and Turkish delight. It’s a dynamic wine with perfect harmony and balance. It’s our Moutere clay soils, the dazzling Nelson sun and the finger prints of our team that make our wines unique."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, November 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"Aromatic, varietal, spiced and fragrant with a core bouquet of white fleshed stone fruits then apple and preserved citrus. A just dry sensation as the wine touches the palate with a tickle of residual sweetness, medium acidity and fruit flavours of apple and tropical fruits, white spice and a touch of dried herb. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from 2023 through 2028."
4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper, October 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"A consistently attractive wine. Estate-grown and hand-harvested, the youthful 2023 vintage was mostly handled in tanks, but 5 per cent of the blend was matured in oak barrels. Pale, with a perfumed, spicy bouquet, it is mouthfilling, with very fresh peach, lychee and spice flavours, showing excellent delicacy, and a dryish (4.7 grams/litre of residual sugar), finely balanced, smooth finish. Best drinking mid-2024+."

"Creamy-textured Gewürztraminer with typical Turkish Delight, lychee and pot-pourri flavours. A hint of sweetness is balanced by fruity acidity to give a fairly dry finish. A fragrant, gentle and appealing wine."
5 Stars & 18.5/20 (93) Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, October 2021 (2021 Vintage)
"Bright, pale straw-yellow, slightly lighter on the rim. The nose is full and spicy, penetrating attractive aromas of Turkish delight, rose water, underlying guava, lychee and ginger dusting. Medium-full bodied, dry to taste, harmonious nuances of guava, lychee and Nashi pear are pure, unfolding rose petals, Turkish delight and delicate ginger and white spice. The palate is smooth and flows on an oily texture drive; there's concentration and weight contributed by ripe fruit and a touch of residual sugar, leaving a balanced, long finish. This Gewurztraminer has lovely aromatics of varietal characters and concentrated flavours on a smooth, enticing palate. Match with yellow fish curry and Sichuan cuisine over the next 3-5 years. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, cool-fermented to 14% alc, 5g/l RS, extended lees contact, 5% oak-aged, unfined. Vegan friendly."
