"Dark, deep inky purple, youthful, even colour throughout. The nose is vibrant and full, with succulent aromas of blackberries, cassis and black plums intermix sweet florals, spices and a touch of minty herbs. Full-bodied, blackberries and cassis nuances have a bright and sweet core, the fragrance of violet floral, minty herbs and warming nutmeg and clove linger to a dry, earthy finish. Ample natural fine tannin extraction contributes to a chewy grip; the fruit is ripe with excellent depth of flavour supported by acid tension. This is a bright and young Cabernet Franc with lush fruit, herb, spice and a solid structure. Match with herb-crusted lamb rack and Cocoa-rubbed baby back ribs over the next 5 years. Fruit sourced from Home Vineyard, handpicked, 100% destemmed, fermented with vineyard derived yeast to 13.5% alc, 28 days on skins, aged in neutral barrels. Unfined and unfiltered, no added sulphur. BioGro organic certified., vegan friendly."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, August 2022 (2020 Vintage)
"A pristine dark purple and ruby core, polished and shiny with a pink rim. Primary, youthful and varietal bouquet with aromas of black currant and plum then sweet olive and a fine savoury core with hay and dried herb. Very youthful textures on the palate, but rather delicious with flavours a wild black currant flavours and blackberry flavours, Doris plum and a savoury hay and dried herb quality. Firm tannins and bold acid line needing some time to settle and integrate into the core fruit flavours. This wine simply requires cellar time to complete its integration journey. Decant for service with best drinking from 2024 through 2036+."
