Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"This is the 5th harvest of Albariño from our certified organic Headwaters Vineyard. It spent 12hrs soaking on skins prior to pressing. The juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled cool temperatures to capture the intense flavours and aromatic purity of the variety. Fermentation was halted just prior to dryness. No animal products were used – Vegan friendly.
Aromas of lime and orange blossom with rock melon and honeysuckle. Lot of spice. Sweet fruited entry which continues though the palate. Layered citrus, orange, lime and lemon with a touch if pineapple and gingerbread. Complexity builds with fresh herbs and almond-mealy notes. Very juicy finish."
93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, June 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"Ripe and fruity, varietal with a bouquet of yellow peach and sweet citrus, floral, fresh and inviting. A whisper of sea air and raw wet stones add charm and complexity. On the palate – tense, youthful, ripe and fruity. Textures of coarse silk and satin are contrasted by an abundance of acidity. The wines transitions from peach to citrus with a traditional back palate firmness adding length. Balanced, fresh and well made, a lovely example. Vegan friendly too – how cool is that!"
