Winery notes (2014 Vintage)
"Grown in our Church Road vineyard in Waipara, this Gewurztraminer has been made from the fruit off our youngest vines The hand-harvested grapes were foot-stomped in the traditional manner then pressed and the juice fermented slowly in seasoned barrels to produce a delicious wine bursting with the distinctive aromas of lychees, rose petal and subtle spices. These flavours flow through into the palate in a wonderful blend with an off-dry finish. This Gewurztraminer is great with many spicy and flavourful foods including Thai and most asian cuisine dishes using lemongrass, coriander, chilli and lime to name a few."

4 1/2 Stars Michael Cooper (2014 Vintage)
"Exotically perfumed and mouthfilling, the 2014 vintage is a partly barrel-fermented wine (20 per cent) with soft, rich flavours. Peachy, spicy and slightly gingery, it is concentrated, with good complexity, gentle sweetness and a seductively smooth finish."

91/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit (2014 Vintage)
"Classic perfumed aromas of mango, lychee, ginger spice and floral lead to a beautifully rounded palate that shows excellent fruit weight and succulent mouthfeel. The wine is immensely expressive and attractive, brilliantly structured by beautifully integrated acidity. At its best: now to 2018."

4 Stars Yvonne Lorkin, April 2017 (2104 Vintage)
"Just the most gorgeous aromas of lemon sorbet, musky ginger, spun-sugar and turkish delight assail the nostrils as soon as the cap comes off a bottle of this baby.  On the palate it’s full, rich, deliciously dry and complex (which is SUCH a good thing for gewurztraminer).  Plus there’s chai spices and refreshing acidity on the finish."
