An immensely rich and lush Barbera from a superb collective in Piedmont. The Arnaldi Rivera label sources from a collective of growers, some of whom are dotted in the rolling hills of the Alba DOC. Here the range of microclimates allows such distinctive grapes as Barbera to be nurtured into the best fruit quality. The result is a succulent style, with the natural freshness balanced by a softening full body and rounded by good pre-aging in old oak and bottle before release. Easy to enjoy but full of Piedmont's bright fruit expression, this Rivera Barbera is a knock out!
Winery notes (2016 Vintage)

Reviews for the 2015 vintage below…
17/20 Jancis Robinson (2015 Vintage)
"Barbera aged for nine months in stainless steel and French tonneaux and a further eight months in bottle before release. Purplish crimson. Sweet blackberry fruit and cherry confit on the nose with a hint of oatmeal. Succulent blackberry fruit that is almost a little mouth-watering and with fine, yet firm, bitter tannins on the finish. Long and completely dry and almost a little savoury. Great stuff."
89/100 James Suckling (2015 Vintage)
"A juicy and flavourful red with plum and berry character. Medium body, round tannins and a savoury finish. Drink now."
