Long considered one of Central Otago's very best Rosés the new vintage of Amisfield has arrived and she's a beauty. With good concentration of cherry and berry fruit and a touch of spice, it has lovely weight and gentle creaminess on the palate with a lick of minerality giving it freshness and length.
Winery notes (2021 Vintage)
"Hand-harvested Pinot Noir was cold-soaked for 24 to 48 hours before pressing the brightly coloured juice off the grape skins. The juice was fermented cool using selected aromatic yeast. A small portion was fermented in old French oak to add a hint of caramel to the palate.
Pale salmon pink, classic Pinot Noir rose colour. Lifted floral nose, rosewater and strawberry fruit. The palate mixes ripe summer berries, watermelon and pomegranate before finishing dry"
