Viognier

One of the Rhône Valley’s brightest stars is Viognier (said vee-yon-yay), an overachieving grape that has thrived in plantings around the world, notably California’s Paso Robles. Viognier novices can look forward to a rich-but-dry wine white with the spicy characteristics of a pinot gris, balanced with the fullness of body of a quality chardonnay. Citrus, peach and apricot aromatics sparkle over a rich, oily texture. The archetypal Viognier is all low-acidity dryness and full body. For great drinking style and value, look no further than Yalumba, South Australian legends of Viognoir. Closer to home, Kiwi winemakers have been praised for achieving Viognier greatness by striking a natural balance between freshness, oak and fruit. Do try a bottle from the Hawke’s Bay and/or Gisborne.

  It was my frist time to this shop i have every seen so much wine in one shop. All prices not to bad for the drifferent varieties of wine. Great service a busy wee shop. Worth a look at you really cant go wrong.

  Excellent service. We wanted to bring wine from NZ homw to Europe, but shipping rates were so high and shipping times were so long that we decided to take it on the plane instead. The team here helped us package up 18 bottles of different wines we had tasted at wineries in Central Ontago and Malbourgh for a flight and everything arrived safely to Europe. Many, many thanks. We have some happy friends and family now!

  A great place that stocks a huge range of New Zealand but also Australian wines... As I don't have a clue about wine I appreciated all the help I can get... I notice they ship to wherever... Also they wrapped it up nice a secure for my flight back to Australia...thank you...

  Absolutely fantastic experience with Vino Fino for our wedding. They do offer a free chiller trailer with large orders but unfortunately someone got in just before us to have that on our wedding weekend. The staff are lovely and helpful, we had wonderful interactions with Paul, Dean and James. We did not have any idea of what we wanted to supply to our guests but the recommendations made were top notch and the guests loved them. The amount recommended worked out well for us, they work with your budget and they have a buy back option if you do not use all the wine. Would recommend for events or if you do not know wines like us and you are looking for recommendations.
