Champagne P. Louis Martin - established 1864 - is at Montagne de Reims in Bouzy. It’s a small 10 hectare estate and the wines are only made from estate-grown fruit and, therefore, it classifies as “grower”.

"​Pale yellow colour, fine bubbles. A fresh nose with grapefruit aromas backed by cereal notes (bread, wheat, barley). A fresh attack. The palate is structured, with plummy aromas and a subtle touch of chalk."

"Bright, light straw-yellow colour, pale edged and with moderately persistent and fine bead. The bouquet is full and well-concentrated with a harmonious amalgam of yellow stonefruits and bready-yeasty, brioche-like autolysis. The aromatics are expressed with clarity, presence and with subtle complexing interest. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has clear and positive fresh apple and stonefruit flavours intermingling with fine bready-yeasty autolysis in the background, The flavours form a good heart, the dosage adding a perceptible richness, and the mouthfeel is refreshing and balanced, with a creamy mousse and bright acidity. The wine flows along a fine-textured line leading to a sustained finish of stonefruits and yeasty autolysis. This is a well-concentrated and harmoniously balanced , refreshing Champagne showing good Pinot Noir presence and clarity with fine autolytic interest. Serve as an aperitif and with canapés. It will also match a variety of fish and white meat dishes A blend of 50% each Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, fermented to 12.0% alc."
