"​Dark, deep, near impenetrable black-hued red colour with youthful purple hues. The nose is softly full and voluminous, and gentle in concentration with aromas of ripe blackberry fruit along with subtle notes of aromatic dark raspberries, black pepper and spice elements, all harmoniously interwoven. Medium-full bodied, the palate is rich with ripe and succulently sweet fruit flavours of blackberries and lifted dark raspberries, melded with black pepper, liquorice and spices. The fruit is youthful and primary in expression, and enhanced by fresh acidity. The wine flows along a concentrated line with supple tannin support, leading to a long, juicy finish of dark raspberries and pepper. This is a sweet and succulent dark raspberry and blackberried Shiraz with primary fruit and supple tannins. Match with barbecued and roasted red meats, and Mediterranean fare over the next 5-6+ years. Fruit from the ‘Miamba’ vineyard near Lyndoch, southern Barossa, fermented to 14.0% alc. in hogsheads, the wine then given a further 18 months in barrel."
