"Already delicious, the 2015 vintage is a blend of Merlot (72 per cent), Malbec (20 per cent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (8 per cent). Hand-harvested in the company's vineyards in the Gimblett Gravels and Bridge Pa Triangle, it was matured for two years in French oak casks (42 per cent new). Deep and youthful in colour, it has a fresh, fragrant bouquet. The palate is full-bodied, sweet-fruited and lush, with concentrated blackcurrant and spice flavours, hints of dark chocolate and nuts, fine-grained tannins and a long, smooth-flowing finish. Highly enjoyable now, but well worth cellaring, it should break into full stride 2020+."

"A magnificent Bordeaux-style, the gloriously expressed bouquet shows complex aromas of cassis, mixed berry compote, cedar, cocoa and subtle cigar box notes. The palate is superbly concentrated and impressively weighted, wonderfully enhanced by fleshy mouthfeel and silky tannins. Splendidly composed and styled, destined to evolve gracefully. At its best: now to 2028."

"Full, very dark, black-red colour, near-saturated, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is fine and firmly concentrated, quite elegant in proportion with ripe aromas of blackberries and black plums along with subtle notes spices, black ink and minerals, unfolding nuances of blackcurrants, with aromatic oak adding detail. Medium-full bodied, the palate has rich and intense flavours of ripe blackberries, plums, liquorice and spices, along with blackcurrants and ink. The fruit is complexed by spicy, nutty oak. Fine-grained tannin structure underlines the fruit with integrated and balanced acidity providing lift to the fruit expression. The flavours possess a degree of opulence and carry along a fine-textured line, leading to a long and sustained finish. This is a rich and intensely flavoured Merlot/Malbec blend with ripe blackberry, plum, liquorice and spice flavours on a fine-structured palate. Match with roasted lamb, beef and venison dishes over the next 8-10 years. A blend of 72% Merlot, 20% Malbec and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon from the company’s Gimblett (58%) and Bridge Pa (42%) vineyards, fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 24 months in 45% new French oak. 280 cases made."
