Winery notes (2104 Vintage)
"The fruit for the 2014 Noble One was once again selected from the same vineyards that have a long and prodigious history of producing fine examples of Botrytis Semillon given the right weather conditions. With regular visits to the vineyard in the months leading up to the harvest, this allows us to closely track the degree of botrytis development and determine the perfect time to pick the fruit. The essence of flavours produced from each vineyard having their individual traits, we harvest, ferment and mature each parcel separately. Then we blend together these components to capture the exotic beauty of Noble One Botrytis Semillon.

Expressive aromas of cumquats, nectarines, apricots, mandarin peel with integrated fresh vanillin oak. The palate has a medley of botrytis fruit flavours, citrus, stone fruit, a touch of butterscotch with a glace pineapple tang to a long alluring palate. A fine balance of oak, sweetness and acidity that gives finesse to a powerful botrytis spectrum."
IWC 2017 (2014 Vintage)
"Thick, rich style with plenty of sweetness. Lovely orange peel notes, with rum raisin and a touch of honey. A long, gentle finish."
5 Stars & 96/100 Toni Peterson, The Real Review, July 2017 (2014 Vintage)
"With so many wines in the market, it is sometimes easy to forget about the classics. This Noble One Botrytis Semillon is as satisfying and delicious as ever.
Honeyed pear, scented vanilla and subtle spice enlivened by gentle lemon tones. It has great depth of flavour and an open and generous middle. A flavoursome, balanced dessert wine that, despite its very high sugar level, is not cloying or over-sweet. Lovely now but will also cellar well into the future."
