#45 Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2016
Winery notes (2015 Vintage)
"Yet another terrific vintage. Pure, focused and mouthwatering. Citrus blossom, lime leaf, white peach intermingle with mineral that fills the palate. Carries on to a long refreshing finish."
90/100 Wine Spectator (2015 Vintage)
"Tangy and zingy, with lively acidity that balances against gobs of ripe pear and apricot flavors, carrying through the long, lime-accented finish. Drink now through 2020."
90/100 Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate (2015 Vintage)
"Juicy and lively, with lots citrus blossom, lychee and a touch of lime, the 2015 Riesling Kung Fu Girl is medium-bodied, vibrant and crisp on the palate, with terrific purity, integrated acidity and a great finish. It's a steal at the price and will drink nicely for a year or more."
90/100 & Best Buy, Wine Enthusiast (2015 Vintage)
"This is an über-aromatic wine, with appealing notes of white peach, jasmine, honeysuckle and lime. It's lean in style, drinking off dry but balanced by racy acidity that stretches out the finish."
Joelle Thomson, January 2018 (2015 Vintage)
"Kung Fu Girl Riesling is made from grapes grown on the evocatively named Evergreen Vineyard in the Ancient Lakes AVA (American Viticultural Area – 566 hectares with only 5 wineries, so not large). It’s off dry, but only just, which suits its incredibly intense fruit purity,  light body and juicy flavours of ripe limes, green apples and mandarin."
90/100 Cameron Douglas MS, February 2018 (2015 Vintage)
"Fleshy, plump, ripe and varietal aromas of Riesling with sweet pear, apple and citrus, underlying line of minerality. Crunchy, fresh, lively and fruity on the palate with green apple, lemon and barely sugar flavours; plenty of acidity adds a fine texture and dryness on the finish. Balanced and well made. Drink now and through 2026."
4 Stars & 17.5/20 Raymond Chan, December 2017 (2015 Vintage)
"Bright straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, lighter edged. The nose is elegant in proportion with tightly bound aromas of lime fruit with white florals and secondary toasty development notes, and hints of minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of limes and white florals are up-front and form an elegant, well-concentrated core. The mouthfeel is bright and lively with good acid vibrancy and poise, and the wine flows with good linearity, with subtle, fine-grained phenolic textures, carrying to a lingering, thirst-quenching finish of limes, toast and minerals. This is an elegantly concentrated dry Riesling with lime, floral and toasty secondary development, on a vibrant, refreshing palate. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian fare over the next 4 years. Fruit from the ‘Evergreen’ vineyard, Colombia Valley, WBP and fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 1.4 g/L RS."
