94/100 Cameron Douglas MS, May 2018 (2016 Vintage)
"A complex and youthful bouquet of red berry fruits, earth and wood messages; cherry and plum with some red apple notes, a steely youthful layer with exposed earth, stones and wild flower aromas. Dry, firm, youthful and intense with vibrant tannins showing off some chalky texture, mineral earthy attributes, red berry fruits and wild flowers, a slightly warm moment soon disppears. A lovely example still developing. Drinking best from late 2019 through 2027."
5 Stars & 19.0+/20 Raymond Chan, May 2018 (2016 Vintage)
Moderately deep ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues, lighter on the edge. The nose displays beautifully ripe fruit with an array of fragrant dark-red florals intermingling with dark-red cherry and berry fruit unfolding notes of dark herbs, liquorice and spice, with a suggestion of complexing earthy hints. The aromatics are detailed and harmoniously interwoven and balanced, Medium-full bodied, the palate has rich flavours of ripe dark-red cherry and berry fruit with suggestion of black plums, all lifted by fragrant red and violet florals. The fruit is succulent and rich, and forms an elegant core with complexing savoury and earthy nuances. The fruit is supported by very fine-grained supple tannin extraction adding to the fruit presence and depth, with fresh, lacy acidity providing energy and poise. The flavours flow seamlessly along a velvety line leading to a long and sustained, fragrant and rich finish. This is a beautifully refined and aromatic Pinot Noir with an array of florals and red fruits with suggestions of complexing earthy detail on a seamlessly smooth palate. Match with poultry and duck over the next 6-8+ years. A blend of 10 Pinot Noir clones, the fruit indigenous yeast fermented with 23% whole clusters to 13.5% alc., the wine spending 19 days on skins and aged 12 months in 24% new French oak."

Winery notes (2015 Vintage)
"Wonderfully complex aromas of fern leaf, rhubarb, potpourri and rose petal contrast with more mineral notes of dust, graphite and gravel. The palate possesses a lovely sweet attack without ever becoming cloying and melts into supple, fine tannins which need a few years to completely marry to the wine. Nevertheless, the overall impression is silky and sensual. Excellent acidity lends great vibrancy to the palate and the wine ends on a long, lingering finish. The rich, silky completeness shows the great potential of this property. Cellaring for up to 8-10 years."
5 Stars & 97/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review (2015 Vintage)
"Very attractive pinot noir with a trademark expression of subtle power. A refined mix of savoury, fresh herb, cherry, berry and subtle floral notes together with a suggestion of subtle mineral notes. The wine has an ethereal texture and surprisingly lengthy finish. Should develop well with bottle age."
5 Stars Michael Cooper (2015 Vintage)
"Estate-grown in the Cromwell Basin, the 2015 vintage was matured in French oak barriques (19 per cent new). Full-coloured, it is mouthfilling, ripe and supple, with deep cherry, plum, herb, spice and nut flavours, gentle acidity, and a very savoury, complex, harmonious finish. Drink now or cellar."
95/100 Mike Bennie, The Wine Front, May 2017 (2015 Vintage)
"Remarkable site that the fruit is grown on here. Verdant, buzzy with Bambi-like scenes of animals and flowers and insects and stuff. Biodynamic farming, loads of care, a selected place to grow great grapes. Good ingredients. Clever winemaker, Claire Mullholland, and in the mix the wonderful consultant in Ted Lemon from Littorai, California. Good release here too.

Deep, moody, dark cherry and dark chocolate, clove and dried rose petals, sweet earth and undergrowth scents. A growl of perfume. Supple in texture with some serious concentration, but elevated on fresh acidity, spice, a spread of fine, silty tannins. Has some extension through the palate, leaves a trail of sweet fruit and a savoury character that feels moreish. Just lovely, here."
