The deep, dark purple colour and scents of cassis, blueberry, dark chocolate and vanilla are the first things that draw you to this well balanced Cabernet. Dark fruits such as mulberry, currant and boysenberry round out the palate and the oak draws out hints of chocolate and nut.
It's a beast as far as octane goes (15.5% Alcohol) but the sweet dusty tannins and the length of flavour do it for me!
Another fantastic vintage from Saltram. Drink now, or this wine will reward you with careful cellaring for up to 10 years!

An incredible array of accolades attest to the quality of Rockburn's 2010 Pinot Noir. Awards include Gold NZIWS, Pure Gold Air New Zealand, Five Stars Winestate, and a Gold medal and "Best in Class" at the prestigious International Wine and Spirits Competition in London.
Much bigger and stronger than many Central Otago Pinot Noirs, this is an exemplary release from an outstanding producer.

The ancient Secastilla Vineyard is located in the rocky foothills of the Pyrenees in Northern Spain in the Somontano region. Here century old Grenache vines (both white and red) have been rejuvenated and now produce extrordinary wines. At 700 metres this is an isolated and rugged vineyard, where the vines can only be tended by hand. The resulting white wine, "La Miranda" is quite distinctive with hints of nuts, mushroom and a chalky minerality combined with pure, fresh fruit. Having visited the vineyard I can relate to its sense of place - how the vines made their home in this beautifully isolated hill top valley centuries ago and now being 're-discovered' and cherished. A unique and distinctive wine full of character.
